Honeywell was recognized for excellence in product design in the sixth annual Dealer Design Awards Program sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration News (The ACHR News), the leading trade magazine in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration industries.
Honeywell was awarded Gold level recognition for its Zio? LCD Wall Module in the Commercial Controls Category and for its RedLINK? Wireless Systems in the Residential Controls Category.
"Honeywell is proud to receive these prestigious awards,” said Tony Sugalski, Honeywell’s vice president and general manager for the Americas Environmental and Combustion Controls business. “Our focus has always been on developing products that provide contractors the competitive edge – and RedLINK and Zio are doing just that.”
Honeywell’s RedLINK Technology is the first wireless protocol developed exclusively for the HVAC industry. It includes a suite of products that work together, including the Prestige? Comfort System, Portable Comfort Control, Outdoor Temperature and Humidity Sensor, Wireless FocusPRO? programmable thermostat, TrueZone? wireless zoning panels and the wireless TrueSTEAM? whole-house humidification system.
The Zio? TR70 is an LCD wall module that takes advantage of the Spyder? Sylk? Enhanced controller and offers customized access to a commercial building’s control and network points. Used together, the controller and the wall module provide contractors flexibility and easy access to HVAC system information.
Winning entries in the Dealer Design Awards were featured in the July 13, 2009 issue of The ACHR News, which is distributed nationally to more than 33,000 HVACR contractors, wholesalers, and other industry professionals.
